Once a student completes higher secondary (+2) in any stream, he/she is eligible to do undergraduate courses for a bachelor's degree. The minimum eligibility conditions will vary from universiy to university and will not be same for all the governments for the same course. The eligibility criteria depends on the subjects of study in +2, Age, nationality, percentage of marks, optional subjects, caste etc. However there is more flexibility in eligibility for arts and science degree when compared to medical, dental, engineering and paramedical courses.
After completing a degree the students can go for post graduation, post graduate diploma and diploma courses at higher level. After degree in arts and science subjects the students can get admitted into MA &
M.Sc. courses in relevent subjects, MBA & MCA and also many more advanced PG
courses |
Some universities give admission to MCA course without mathematics at degree level. After successful completion of MBBS course a student can select MD, MS and diploma courses in various advanced stream of medicine. After BDS a student can opt MDS in various branches of dentistry and MD & MS in Ayurveda is also available for BAMS passed candidates.
